Figura
Make new technology work reliably in retail.
Figura works with apparel and home retailers to turn new technology into a practical way of working, using experienced judgement, workflow design and implementation.
AI is a major area of work today. The harder question is usually not what the technology can produce. It is how a business can use it reliably, at the quality the work requires.

Client reality
Technology can move faster than the way a team works around it.
AI use starts to spread.
People find different ways to get reasonable results, but quality varies. The same corrections return. A pilot works, but still depends on one or two people who know how to rescue it. Roles, standards and approvals have not caught up.
At that point, more activity does not necessarily mean a more reliable workflow.
Reframing
Start with the problem underneath the request.
A request for a new tool may actually contain several different needs. Before choosing technology, Figura separates what the business is trying to achieve, what the work requires and which constraints matter.
An AI image can look finished and still be wrong. A product proportion shifts. A motif changes. A construction detail disappears. In retail, visual plausibility is not the same as product accuracy.
And when the same correction keeps returning, the problem has usually moved upstream. The useful question is no longer how to repair one more output, but what needs to change in the working method.
How Figura creates change
From an unclear problem to a working method.
Figura works from the problem through to a working method, implementation and capability where appropriate.
Founder-led practice
Senior judgement stays close to the work.
Figura is a founder-led specialist practice. Annamie Hansen is its principal expert and remains directly involved in senior diagnosis, major recommendations, quality judgement and the key client relationship.
Her background includes senior roles as Buying Director at Ackermans and Business Development Executive at Pepkor Sourcing and Services. She founded Figura 10 years ago, bringing that retail experience into a specialist practice whose work has evolved across product, sourcing, digital development and changing technology.
Where a project needs additional specialist capability, Figura brings in collaborators for defined parts of the work.
About FiguraWhere Figura helps
Expert help shaped around the problem.
Figura works through defined expert engagements shaped around the problem rather than a fixed service package.
That may begin with diagnosis or a pilot, extend into workflow design and implementation, or continue through bounded senior advisory where that remains useful.
Figura works with internal teams rather than building permanent dependence outside them.
How Figura helpsSelected work
Current AI work has a longer implementation history behind it.
Figura's work with emerging retail technology predates the current generative-AI cycle.
Earlier work with 3D and digital product development involved many of the same adoption questions that matter now: how the workflow changes, who needs to participate, how quality is controlled and how a new capability becomes usable in everyday work.
The technology has changed. Many of the implementation questions have not.
Fit
Best suited to organisations with real operating complexity.
Figura is most relevant to established apparel and home businesses with internal teams, recurring work and a problem important enough to justify changing how the work is done.
The model works with internal capability rather than replacing it.
You do not need to know which service you need.
Tell Figura what has changed, where the difficulty sits and what you are trying to improve.
The first step is to establish whether Figura is a useful fit for the situation.
